He worked in the dry cleaning business for many years, including the dry cleaners on the Charleston Naval Base, before ultimately opening his own business, Swinton’s Cleaners. This accomplishment was his dream come true and he was praised for his business acumen and excellent service. This service allowed him to fellowship with friends, members of his church family, neighbors and colleagues that came and supported his dream. He retired from the active business in 2007.”
