Family Art Lessons with Kit Loney: Recycle Cars with Color Wheels

 

 

Materials Needed:

 

– Paper or cardboard from paper bags, cereal or pasta boxes, junk mail, old holiday cards, etc.

– One or two sheets of white paper, cardstock, or cardboard

– Markers or color pencils or crayons/oil pastels

– pencil

– scissors

– glue/tape

– paper clips/push pins

– round lids to use or trace for wheels (smaller for little cars, larger for bigger ones)

 

 

 

Vocabulary

Color wheel: a circle showing the relationship between primary and secondary colors

Primary colors: yellow, red and blue

Secondary colors: orange, green and purple

Warm colors: red, orange, and yellow

Cool colors: blue, green and purple
